To Wear Men’s Speedos or Men’s Swimming Trunks? Swimming Trunks.
Thirty years ago, beaches were filled with guys wearing Speedos. Back then, Speedos were synonymous with style, coolness, and comfort. Using a Speedo not only gave a man the opportunity to show off his body, but also, they were considered to be the best look for anyone who went to a beach. Today, there are those who still consider Speedos to be stylish, comfortable, and cool; however, society’s ideas regarding style and good looks have changed, and so most men have decided against Speedos and in favor of swimming trunks. Men’s swimming trunks are much like a regular pair of shorts; the difference between the two is that swimming trunks are made specifically to be used in the beach or anyplace where a man could find himself in a position (or need) to swim. In other words, men’s swim trunks are shorts made for swimming. Evidently, Speedos and trunks are much different, so if a man were to choose what to use to go for a swim today, what should he choose? Well, this of course will depend on each man’s personal tastes and his own ideas as to what looks good and is comfortable. However, it must be said that by today’s standards, Speedos are a thing of the past. If you want to look good today, do not think, do not even hesitate. Go with men’s swimming trunks.
Men’s bathing suits, just like women’s come in a wide variety of styles, colors, shapes, forms, and sizes. Now, among these many styles there’s Speedos and there’s trunks. The reason why trunks are regarded as being more fashionable (more better looking) than Speedos boils down to this: not all men look good on Speedos. A Speedo is an overly small swimsuit; almost all of the man’s body is exposed when he uses a Speedo, so it is to be expected that only man with a perfect body (a perfect build and a perfect tan, at least) can aspire to wear one and look good in it. Imagine an overweight pale man wearing a Speedo. Would such a swimsuit work well for him, for his body? Surely, such a swimsuit would not work for that man’s benefit, not in the least bit. Instead of making a good impression, the man would probably be scorned by other people; there are those who might even be repulsed by the sight of a pale overweight man wearing a Speedo.
This, however, would never be the case with a swimming trunk because like it has already been said, trunks are just like shorts. Sure, there are trunks that are somewhat longer and others that are somewhat shorter, but in the end they help cover a man’s body, thus helping him improve his looks (especially in the case of men who do not have fit, muscular bodies). Trunks are the thing to wear today because they give style and good looks to any man that goes to a beach or a pool. As long as he knows which pair of trunks works best for him, a man does not have to kill himself going to a gym before having a body fit for the beach (which would inevitably be the case if he were to use a Speedo).
